The fall indoor season officially kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 29, with equitation weekend at Capital Challenge Horse Show, which continues through Oct. 9 at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The action now shifts to the hunters, with the World Championship Hunter Rider challenge classes highlighting this week’s lineup.

The biggest classes for the professionals include the WCHR Professional and Developing Pro Challenge classes on Wednesday. Then the six top-ranked riders (plus the winner of the Pro Challenge if not in the top six) in the national standings will compete in the WCHR Pro Finals on Friday, where the pros will take turns riding different horses.
