The Fédération Equestre Internationale has updated the list of eventing yellow cards and recorded warnings, and two riders competing at the Defender Kentucky CCI5*-L received sanctions on Saturday, April 27, after cross-country.
U.S. rider Zach Brandt received a yellow card for “Abuse of Horse—Riding an exhausted Horse” in accordance with eventing rule 526. Brandt finished the cross-country with Direct Advance and was later eliminated by the ground jury.

Ireland’s Susie Berry, who finished 22nd with Clever Trick, received a recorded warning for “Abuse of Horse—Minor case of blood on the Horse” in accordance with eventing rule 526.1.
Robert Stevenson, president of the ground jury for the five-star, said that it is FEI policy not to discuss specific information or details on action taken during competition.
