New World Record For Van Grunsven

Anky van Grunsven and Keltec Salinero reached another summit in their career when they scored a new world record at the Rotterdam CDI in the Netherlands on June 22.  The reigning Olympic champion scored 81.33 percent in the Grand Prix test.

Isabell Werth of Germany and Satchmo, who scored 79.96% at the Stuttgart CDI, Nov. 19, 2005, held the old world record score.  Werth placed second at Rotterdam aboard Warum Nicht FRH (75.95%).

According to www.dressagedirect.com, Swiss judge Beatrice Burchler-Keller said that Salinero took her breath away he was going so well.  She awarded van Grunsven a 10 for her riding and gave Salinero a 10 for one piaffe-passage transition.
