Default Gah is this true?!?!? Shergar found stuffed in a house of former IRA member?

I just can't believe this. Can't help but feel like it's not true, mainly because how could he have been there all this time without someone noticing or spilling the beans? Anyone know?

You might want to read this link on the news site.

It says in that article that he was wearing full racing tack-- the horse in the picture appears to be wearing cavalry saddle/ curb bridle? Also Shergar was a bay with a blaze according to his picture on pedigreequery: http://www.pedigreequery.com/shergar

So it's definitely not him in the photo. Seems unlikely to me.

ETA: I guess for good reason

Ah, good. The confusion stems from that a plumber apparently DID just find a huge, hidden store of cash in this house, which was owned by a former IRA member who is currently up on charges stemming from a shaky land deal and subsequent bankruptcy. So there is just enough true news stuff there to throw me off. But I just couldn't imagine the horse had been in some dude's kitchen for 30 years without SOMEBODY spilling the beans.

It's not that I think that this story has a happy ending, but this just struck me as particularly awful.

It's a satirical website. Like the Onion. Again, look at the link I posted above. Completely fake.

And Shergar was apperantly machine gunned to death and burried in the mountains, as said by a IRA member. Of course, that could all be just as big of a lie.

    Last sentence -
The horse was later removed to a secure location in the city where it is believed to be in a stable condition.

But I would have wondered, too!
But he thought, "This procession has got to go on." So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn't there at all. H.C.Anderson
