I'm so glad blu checked in. When I told her about everyone here she was verklempt and said to thank everyone - that she didn't know so many people cared. She and her husband (he goes by jedrazal on many boards) are two of the best folks around. They are also paraders and collect beautiful parade saddles ... some may know them because of that as well.

I drool over their parade saddle collection. My prayers and thoughts are with them both! Please tell her to also take care of herself during this time too!

Update: From Susan directly. Heartbreaking news today. The blood pressure issues that led to emergency surgery was due to Doug having another heart attack according to his medical team. They told Susan he is not a candidate for open heart surgery. The prognosis is not good for our friend. The doctors have given her 1%. Let's hope for that 1%. Another team is coming in to consult to try and figure out a new solution. In the worst case, they are going to revive Doug for long enough for Susan to have a last, lucid moment with her beloved Doug. Prayers.

How sad and frightening! All of my highest hopes for a miracle are with her and her husband. What a difficult time.

Never give up hope! Medical miracles do happen! My Dad was given a 1% chance to survive a very serious TBI and now he's fully functional, happy, and healthy almost 30 years later.

    Continued prayers from Colorado
