Clarksdale, MS--the golden buckle on the cotton belt
It's getting harder and harder to find the old fashioned thermometers. Everything seems to be digital these days. And the digital thermometers for horses (cheapish ones) are no longer than the ones for humans.
Are the digital ones as good as the old style ones? I have a horse digital thermometer that I'm going to take to use on Bud Tuesday.
I also just ordered two old style ones for 3.99 each (5" with ring for string) from Blain's Farm & Fleet. But they won't be here for a week or so.

I use the human digital ones. I turn it on, insert it, turn it off and turn it back on again. Seems to give the most accurate temp used that way. I had to use a mercury one today as someone borrowed me and I was not happy about it. They take so much longer.
