Default Brown field boots in rated competition?

Hello All! I have a beautiful pair of brown field boots that I love to pieces and that look amazing! I know on the XC phase that I can wear my brown boots, I've seen many people with them but, I was wondering what your opinions are on using them for the dressage and stadium as well? I will only be competing BN/N (on a young horse) and I (now) live on the west coast, which I have noticed is a little bit more relaxed then the east coast. Thanks for any input!

I would wear them in a heartbeat! Especially in stadium. Just don't wear formal attire with them--that would be black coat, stock tie and white breeches. Pair them with a yummy brown tweed coat and you will be an eventing fashoinista!

Action42- I just bought a pair of brown HKM field boots from Dogwood London to match a brown hunt coat similar to yours. Including international shipping and conversion from pounds to dollars they were $250. I bought them for hunter paces, schooling, TB hunter but glad to know I can wear them in stadium too! Y'all made my day!

I've worn my brown boots with a tweed coat and gotten lots of compliments. I'd say go for it. That said, I seem to remember something about brown boots being ok for guys but not for women. I don't know if that is true or not or whether it even matters but if that sort of thing is important to you you may want to look into it.

    Default brown boots

I have a pair of custom chocolate Dehner field boots that I wear for stadium and cross country. Wear them with white breeches with dark brown seat....love the look...and on the east coast too.

Black boots with brown tops are traditionally for men--brown field boots are ok for everyone. (And I want some, too!)

I do all three phases in my cordovan Dehners.

I wear tan britches and a black coat with a tattersall stock tie. May go for a grey coat this year, I really want one of the 4 button technical fabric coats. I think it would look sharp with the boots, and a nice modern/ old skool contrast.
