I couldn't get the vid to play except in few-second spurts. However, from the short I did see, I like the horse.
As for Owner-Guy, as a long haul truck driver, I've learned you can't judge character by what people are wearing or not wearing. The saying 'the clothes make the man' doesn't apply a lot of the time. You never know.
"I'm a cowwwwboy BaaaaBeee!" This guy was very sweet to that horse- I laughed when he told him to stand still when the horse was standing still as a horse could stand. I was also pretty impressed with the horse's trick hoof holding up (if indeed that's what he was doing) I would have loved to see if he does it with the other 3.
As for the sidearm... I think Ohio folks might be extra sensitive to craigslist criminals- it seems like a smart idea to me to advertise yourself as well armed and always packing when putting yourself out there on craigslist.
Amazing how some OTTB's seem to defy all odds and turn out like Melvis. I wish I had extra moolah to bring this guy to GA pronto. Reminds me of my own OTTB who is by far the sanest horse I have ever owned.
Melvis' video has over 1100 hits. I'm sure his owner is trying to figure out where his instant fame came from! Let's hope that with all those extra views, someone gives this super nice boy a good home. He deserves it. Would think about him for my niece but as I am currently unemployed, adding another horse just isn't in the cards!
Horse is in good weight and owner is very kind to him. Actually kind of nice to see. Looks like a nice horse.
What a nice guy, He may not be the best at getting the bridle on.. Interesting method, but the horse is sweet as all get out, and the guy is very kind.
What is with the Wife Beater comments?
I bet that good old boy is a real nice man.
Nice lineage on the boy.
"you can only ride the drama llama so hard before it decides to spit in your face." Caffeinated.
I was also pretty impressed with the horse's trick hoof holding up (if indeed that's what he was doing) I would have loved to see if he does it with the other 3.
I'm wondering if Melvis is accustomed to having someone pull his leg forward to get the wrinkles out of his skin once he is girthed. That big ole Western girth may be rubbing him and he's trying to tell the guy something.
Loff the horse though!
