Default Drinking alcohol makes me sweat, is this a menopause thing?

All it takes is a couple of sips of wine or beer or whatever and I am HOT, even if I was cold a couple of minutes before. Anyone else experience this? It's maddening.

Yes, one should limit Alchol, Coffee and spicy foods, they make it much worse!

Hormones. I've been having hotflashes since my late teens and the alcohol sweats are just one of the reasons I seldom drink.

Yikes! I've been doing this lately and I'm 37. Isn't that early for menopause? Maybe it's something else too...

They'll get my coffee and alcohol when they pry it out of my cold, dead fingers, dammit! Actually, as we speak I'm drinking a wee demitasse cup of Coffee Brandy!

Yeah, it is a menopause thing. As is feeding the horses, walking the dogs, waking up at 3 AM, and cleaning the stalls. You know its the real deal when you don't just feel like taking off a layer or two, but when you go to do it this burst of HEAT comes off your body--think horse with 105 degree fever!

Hey, at least it puts a little color in our cheeks . . . I've learned to laugh and attribute any damn weird sensation at ALL to it. Oh, and BTW, here's the greatest web site in the WORLD:

to reassure you when you think you're going to freak!
