Default Check out this new cutie at New Vocations!

Who doesn't want to adopt this fuzzy redhead? I sure would if I were looking for a low-level partner.

I check NV everyday.. they have a lot of great candidates that get scooped up fast. It looks like Red would make someone a nice low-level steady-Eddy type.. I love his legs for how old he is.

Lol, so that is the secret to their perfect pictures! Mine could care less about crinkly noises or sticks being waved around. But, I do have cats..... And buckets....

I'd happily take that boy, or Doin My Best. Love the shoulder on Doin My Best.

I love Doin My Best. He looks like he has such a personality! I can't believe he's stuck around as long as he has.

Could it be anything to do with his pedigree? I liked him myself until I saw Unbridled's Song so close up. Personally I would never buy an Unbridled's Song offspring or a horse with Unbridled's Song in the first three to four generations. He's just too notorious for having unsound babies. I've watched enough of his colts and fillies get injured.

I've been looking at adopting Best but he has health issues that are making me hesitant.

I was wondering why he's been around so long too.. There's a lot if horses that need rehab that get snatched up anyway. Could it really be because of Unbridled Song? I've never had an issue with his babies. Never heard of that - guess I'm an ostrich here! (':

I don't know what his progeny is like in the sport horse world, but in the racing world, his foals are constantly breaking things. I can name tons of them off the top of my head, Midshipman, Eights Belles, Old Fashioned, Dunkirk, Winslow Homer, just to name some. He himself broke a right front cannon bone and another bone in his left foreleg during his racing career. The former ended his racing career.

Hmm this has become an interesting conversation. I might be really glad now I've held off.
