'Scuse me, why are you posting this stuff?
99.999% of the posters here are experienced horsemen.
Oh, wait! I see you're a "westren" rider. That explains it. Nobody here knows what THAT is. Carry on.
Used to be Beasmom. She's retired. Time for a new name!

I chase mine around the paddock screaming like William Wallace while cracking a whip. He runs around scared out of his mind and eventually gets tired. Then I lasso him with some bailing twine and ride him bareback to the barn.

That made my head hurt. Perhaps it is good advice, but the use of "ur" tips me off that your are a) under 18, b) mistaken about what this forum is for, and c) going to be slammed by the mighty weight of the COTH Bulls**t Squad very shortly.
Carry on whilst I pop my popcorn--I'm home on a snow day!

In another expert thread on team roping, the OP advises the rider to point his / her toes down.
That sound you hear? My childhood riding instructor, who gave me lessons on ASBs, spinning in his grave.

So that's how some people do it. My horse and I greet each other in the pasture at dawn, as the dew is forming. We bow to each other, and then I leap weightlessly onto his back. We then gallop as one through the magical forest, and the creatures sing us our welcome.
Oh sorry- I fell asleep there. Had a great dream though!

So trolling on the Western forum didn't get you enough attention? Don't feed the troll.

I just stand in the pasture until mine starts to poop. Then I run up and GRAB him!!! Sometimes it only takes an hour or two of waiting. But, he's so worth it!

Myself, I just love an occasional good DERP! post. Have even done a few myself.
But the entertainment value of none-too-bright-know-it-all 12 year olds is priceless, I must say.

School is back in session so she should be back at Jr. High showing the smart phone she got for Christmas to all her friends. I'm glad my daughter entertains herself by taking pictures of herself in the bathroom mirror instead of posting on internet forums.

I can't remember which COTHer posted this, I think it was a few OT days ago, but this thread reminds me so much of the following video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWd_r2sOPhs for some reason.
"Choose to chance the rapids, and dare to dance the tides" - Garth Brooks
"With your permission, dear, I'll take my fences one at a time" - Maggie Smith, Downton Abbey

Derp is an expression of stupidity, or a brief loss of the ability to form a coherent sentence, thus it is spoken.
Herp is another form of derp and is normally placed before derp in the form of "Herp derp." An "a" can be added in between to form "Herp-a-derp," which means the same as herp or derp.
It can also be used as a response to when someone says something incredibly stupid, or it can be said by someone who realizes something he or she said was dim witted.
Any other uses from this is improper. Herp, Derp, and Herp-a-Derp should be used in moderation and properly so that it doesn't get bothersome.

I'll just board with you and catch mine after he follows your horse into the barn!

That *literally* made me laugh out loud. The visual is just amazing......
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done".
