Don't mean to hijack, but could you tell this newbie what USDF University is about? We are going to the event in FL and I'm certainly looking at it as an educational opportunity (in addition to the fun!)

To those worried about the use of the name, you need to understand that the onus is on the European group, not the American. If the Europeans did not file the name in the US, then they have no right to complain. It was and is fair game in the US and I see no problem with it. Then again, I'm not one of those people who seem to want one world government and no distinction between countries. I'm a made in the USA loving dinosaur.

I am glad they did it. They've made dressage more accessible for us little folk. I hope they do it again so I can have the opportunity to attend, and I hope they're able to field as excellent a group of experts as they did this year.

Absolutely. And the best way to help ensure it does happen again here in NA is to support it, not try to tear it down. The organizers have put a lot of money and time into this event, and I wish them every success.
