Posting for a friend—loud arab/appy mare, Whidbey Island
Video and description at this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxShH...&feature=email
"Piper is a 14 hand 8 year old Arab/Appy mare, leopard in color. She has had professional basic training in W/T/C and has been on trails. Her color is leopard appaloosa, her conformation and personality is Arabian. She is available for care lease with possible adoption if it's a good fit. Equestrians with experience with Arabs only. Not for beginners or anyone over 150 lbs. References and a contract will be required. Email owner at islandponies@gmail.com or call her trainer at 360-678-4124."
This is the same owner who has the "plethora of ponies"—see my other thread. Some of the others are still available, too, and this mare is good buddies with the silver dapple overo mare if you're looking for a double dose of extreme color!

Very cute horse and what a "springy" floating trot. I am looking but sadly I am not under 150 lbs.
I hope Lauren can find her a nice home. Why doesn't she post her on DreamHorse?

She's boarded at Lauren's currently, but owned by someone else. I'll suggest Dreamhorse. Thanks!

Why under 150 lb. Many arab/arab crosses are trained by men, who most definitely weigh over 150 lb, and have no issues with long term soundness. What kills most arabs is how they are ridden -- heads tightly cranked in, hollowed backs, hocks trailing -- not the weight of a well balanced rider.
How about advertising Piper on the arabianhorses.org website? She's quite cute.

She is tooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuute! Love that trot. Too far and too small for me, but what great fun she was to watch.

If she were closer or could catch a ride I would be very interested!
I have owned arabs forever and am under 150lbs!
She is too cute!

Thanks for the responses—still available! There's no action on her Dreamhorse ad but I'm sure she'll be perfect for someone. Faerie, where are you located?
