    Default Barn Apartments-Northern Virginia

Does anyone know of barn apartments in the Northern Virginia area (rent-in exhange for p/t work)? I was offered a position in the area which starts in Jan and my preference is a barn apartment situation. ETA: Middleburg is where I'd be working

Any suggestions?? In the meantime, I will check out VirginiaEquestrian, see what I can find...

    TIA!

Northern Virginia is a very big place so you might want to narrow it down. It took me an hour and a half to drive to work today and it's all of about five miles from my condo to my office.

virginiaequestrian.com has some from time to time. You can post there that you are looking, too.
Local papers, Leesburg Today, and Loudoun Times Mirror, have had at least one advertised recently.
I agree, check the commute route!

And if you want to be a little southwest of Leesburg, pm me. My next door neighbor's tenant seems to have left. It's not a barn apt, but a small historic house on an estate with at least a dozen horses, ring, barns, huge fields, etc.

wow.... You could have shaved your commute in half by walking.

Not really, no. It would have taken about the same amount of time to walk that distance around here.
