The Tack Trunk, English tack store located in historic Lebanon, Ohio,will be donating 10% of the day’s sales to Brennan Equine Welfare Fund

Brennan Equine Welfare Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 2000. It was established for the benefit of equines in need. Donations are used to provide grants to approved 501(c)(3) horse rescue, retirement, rehabiltation facilities in the USA which provide dignity to final years of aged, injured, abused, starved and slaughter-bound horses, as well as those used in medical experimentation.

Stock up on tack, apparel, supplies, and horsey gifts for all of those on your list…all while helping equines in need!

The tack trunk did a pretty good job helping me select and order a saddle last year. They aren't a discount shop like VTO, but they are certainly worth a look if you are anywhere near northern Cincinnati.

It's very much a brick and mortar store, but they now do internet sales. I went in with my measurements and wither tracings and the sales girl did a reasonable job of helping me choose a saddle that would work for the pony and I.

I fly in the 16th - but to Chicago. Darn again this year! But maybe I'll do the internet order thing this year and just pick up the order the following week at the store.

As HorsesinHaiti experienced last year...they have great customer service. There is no "big box store" attitude there! They have a large selection of consignment saddles (Dressage, Close Contact, All-Purpose), new saddles, other tack, lots of clothing and supplies. If they don't have it, they will order it for you.

I will be sorry to miss you in person again this year, HorsesinHaiti, but I appreciate your ordering/paying on the 17th and picking up later!

Sure, I just have to find a horse/pony first! (sad story worth searching for if you didn't see it in November, Linda). I just got back from checking out the largest regional livestock market, and didn't see any male ponies large enough to suit. I have people looking around for me, hopefully I will find something before I go to the US so I know what sizes I will need.
