Allentown, N.J.—May 13
It was a fairytale weekend at the Jersey Fresh International for Fylicia Barr and her $500 Craigslist mare Galloway Sunrise, who took the lead after cross-country and never looked back.
“She was the horse I did my first prelim on,” said Barr. “I brought her up from the ground up. I was the first person to ever sit on her back. It’s been a long time coming, and I feel like all the pieces finally came together this weekend, and that’s really exciting.”
In the CCI3*-L, Doug Payne and Starr Witness kept all the rails up on Sunday to take the win.
Thanks to thehorsepesterer, David Frechette, we have video from their winning weekends.
