The CP International, held during the Spruce Meadows “Masters,” Sept. 4-8, in Alberta, Canada, is one of the most coveted prizes in international show jumping. It’s not just the massive prize money ($3 million Canadian) or the opportunity to vie for the Rolex Grand Slam Of Show Jumping, but there’s an air of prestige to the competition.

This year it was Beezie Madden who hoisted the trophy above her head, having ridden Abigail Wexner’s 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion (Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve—Venus, Nabab De Reve) to the win, with just a single time fault in the second round.
