USEF Names Team For FEI World Driving Championships For Four-In-Hand

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has named the U.S. Driving Team for the 2016 FEI World Driving Championships for Four-In-Hand. The championship will take place Aug. 31-Sept. 4 in Breda, the Netherlands. Ed Young will serve as chef d'equipe.

The following combinations will compose the U.S. Driving Team for the FEI World Driving Championships for Four-in-Hand (in alphabetical order):

The following combinations will compose the U.S. Driving Team for the FEI World Driving Championships for Four-in-Hand (in alphabetical order):

James Fairclough (Newton, N.J.) and his own Bento V, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Caletta 5, a 14-year-old Austrian Warmblood mare; Citens, a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Kavango V. Falkenstein CH, a 17-year-old Swiss Warmblood gelding; and Zenden, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Allison Stroud (West Grove, Pa.) and Willow Star LLC’s Anesco 4, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Antonio, a 17-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Enzo, a 7-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Olando, a 20-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and Ulco, a 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Chester Weber (Ocala, Fla.) and his own Amadeus, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Boris W, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Boy W, a 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Jane Clark’s Splash, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and Uniek, a 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

The following combination will serve as an alternate for the U.S. Driving Team:

Misdee Wrigley Miller (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) and her own Beau, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Calipso 86, a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Carlos 663, a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Diplomaat, an 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and Marco Freund’s Daan 8, an 8-year-old gelding of unknown breeding

Wrigley Miller will compete as an individual unless a replacement to the team is necessary.
