Hunter trainer and rider Tommy Serio was added to the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s suspension list. Serio, who runs Summerfield LLC in Aberdeen, North Carolina, was initially given a three-year suspension, starting May 18, 2020, for an “intimate relationship involving a power imbalance, sexual misconduct.” His suspension length was later changed, and it will now end Nov. 18, 2021.
Serio, through his lawyer, Bonnie Navin, declined to comment.

Serio was named to the SafeSport suspension list once before. On July 12, 2018, he was given an interim suspension after allegations of misconduct. The U.S. Center for SafeSport lifted the suspension on July 23 of that year.
