Left, Brian Gjetley, 19, has had Piks Pistelero for seven years and they not only topped the junior/amateur-owner jumper classic at the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Horse Show, July 9-13 in Tryon, N.C., but also tied for first in the five-bar jumper class. In the final round, they cleared the last jump set at 5’3″. Gjetley bought Piks as a 4-year-old and has brought him up from the short stirrup division.
