Olympic eventer Liz Halliday, who has been hospitalized since sustaining a head injury in a cross-country fall at the USEA American Eventing Championships on Aug. 29, has been moved to a rehabilitation facility. According to an update by her friends and family on Saturday, Sept. 28, Halliday is now recovering at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago.
Halliday had previously been hospitalized at the University of Kentucky Medical Center since having surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. The move into a rehabilitation facility signals a milestone in her healing.
