The couple wanted an unusual name, so they chose Nox, and decided on Christoph for his middle name after Silva’s late father. The couple was deciding between Ross, Boyd’s late father’s name, or Christoph, and Christoph won the coin toss, manned by fellow Australian eventer Ryan Wood, who was chosen as Nox’s godfather.

“The baby is happy and healthy and has 10 fingers and toes,” said Boyd. “I think we’re in good shape. It’s an exciting new part of our life, and I’m very excited to enter the next phase of parenting.”
