Even with his toughest competition entering the arena immediately after his show jumping round with Ballynoe Castle RM, Buck Davidson knew he’d already won the Richland Park CIC***. Jennie Brannigan and Buck Davidson both came to the Richland Park CIC*** with a bit of an axe to grind. Brannigan needed confirmation that the work she’d done with Cambalda since they were eliminated in their four-star debut in June had really bolstered the gelding’s confidence.
It had been almost a year since Selena O’Hanlon and Colombo had posted a double-clear show jumping round, so that in itself felt like victory enough when they left the arena at the Richland Park CIC*** today, Aug. 29.
Nate Chambers is up against six horse-and-rider combinations short-listed for this fall’s Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, but he kept cool under pressure today at the Richland Park CIC***. Chambers and Rolling Stone II beat out those four-star challengers and plenty of other experienced pairs in the dressage on Thursday (45.9), and they maintained their lead today, Aug. 28, with a double-clear cross-country round in Richland, Mich.
