The Pessoa/USEF Medal Finals kicks off today here at the Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg, Pa., at 7 a.m. The estimated time to start for the final round is 5:15 p.m.

There are 277 riders—including one from Puerto Rico—riding for a chance at one of the most prestigious equitation titles around. That’s 10 fewer starters than last year.

Marylisa Leffler and Jimmy Torano will be judging today, and they also designed the course. 

Six months ago, the 3'6" equitation finals were just a far-off dream for this Pennsylvania teenager. But a special horse and a supportive trainer made all the difference.
Madison Goetzmann's second clean round clinched the deal for Zone 2 as they defended their gold medal.
From experienced winners to riders who were in awe to pick up a tricolor, the six junior hunter champions all had a story to tell!
“Every year I’m hacking around in the morning, and I look at the wall and go...” she trailed off with a shake of her head. Leslie Howard first showed in the Grand Prix de Penn National in 1979, and she's finally won it.
