The annual golf cart parade to kick off the FEI/Adequan North American Junior and Young Rider Championships rolled through the Kentucky Horse Park Tuesday evening, and for the first time this year, the final destination was Spy Coast Farm, which hosted the opening ceremony and celebration. If you weren't present to witness the collection of colorful carts firsthand, don't sweat it. We caught some of the best scenes from the parade.
Caroline Martin had a lot to smile about at this year’s Adequan/NAJYRC. Not only did her Area III team take home the team gold medal in the CCI**, but she also captured individual gold aboard Quantum Solace.
It was déjà vu for Quebec team members Laurence Blais Tetreault and Naima Moreira Laliberte as they accepted their medals in the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships junior freestyle.
Although they came to the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships with a mixed bag of experience, the Area III young rider team came out on top after cross-country over a tough track designed by David O’Connor.
For the first time since 1996, Mexico brought home an individual gold medal in the show jumping competition at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships.
