The United Arab Emirates National Federation has lodged a formal appeal to the FEI Tribunal against its provisional suspension from the Fédération Equestre Internationale.
 
The FEI Bureau provisionally suspended the UAE National Federation on March 12 for an indeterminate period following an investigation by the FEI into major horse welfare issues and non-compliance with FEI rules and regulations in the discipline of endurance.
 

In the wake of unprecedented scandal and corruption in the sport of endurance riding coming from the United Arab Emirates, the American Endurance Ride Conference has formally requested that the Fédération Equestre Internationale remove the 2016 World Endurance Championship from Dubai to another venue or cancel the event altogether.

The Fédération Equestre Internationale Bureau suspended the national federation of the United Arab Emirates on March 12 for an indeterminate period following an investigation by the FEI into major horse welfare issues and non-compliance with FEI rules and regulations in the discipline of endurance.

The Bureau, chaired by FEI President Ingmar De Vos, was unanimous in its decision to suspend the UAE National Federation.
