Glancing down the list of entries from USEF Pony Finals, there are lots of recurring themes. Some are sweet, some are funny and some are just surprising. Here are some of our favorite pony names popping up on the jumbotrons in Lexington, Ky., by theme.

I’ve dreamed of traveling to Ireland for as long as I can remember. A self-described Anglophile, I’m obsessed with anything British or Irish, so when it came time to decide on my big vacation for the year, I knew where I’d be heading.

I picked a 10-day tour of the Emerald Isle, starting and finishing in Dublin (but just shy of the Dublin Horse Show, darn!) that covered just about every major attraction in the country, plus a couple of stops in Northern Ireland.

Never has a day at the Chronicle gone by in such a blur as Friday, July 12. In case you missed the news, that was when we finally announced that the Bellissimo family had acquired ownership of our 76-year-old publication.

When I heard that Mark Bellissimo, best known in the horse world as managing partner of Wellington Equestrian Partners, had expressed interest in purchasing the Chronicle, I was intrigued—and, at first, a bit worried.
