    Interesting, and thanks for sharing.
So glad to hear she is doing well. And she'll be 6 next year. Still a very good age to run when selective, and they sure have been careful with her.
Hope they do return her to Chad Brown for a month and let her tell them what she thinks. She got a bum rap in the BC. Saw it happening and she's lucky it wasn't worse.

And so sad about Fanciful Angel. So much tragedy lately.

Looking forward to hearing their decision. Either way.
But he thought, "This procession has got to go on." So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn't there at all. H.C.Anderson

Definitely will be interesting to see which direction they go with her. I have admired her from before her bout with laminitis so continue to watch her.

I'd definitely be torn between racing another year vs breeding and selling in foal. Both a crap shoot...

Lady Eli going through Keeneland November again this time in foal to War Front.

        https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-rac...eland-november

I will confess I was surprised that she was auctioned last year and then turned around and re-auctioned again this year (assuming she isn't pulled from KEENOV).

Lady Aurelia is also scheduled for KEENOV.

Some nice quality mares through the the ring (although every year there usually are).

Keeneland is also moving start times for Sep 10-13 session from 11:00am to 1:00pm ET due to inclement weather.

I'm pretty sure she wasn't sold last year.

Pronzoni, you're right. She was in KEENOV 2017 and then withdrawn due to the cuts on her legs from the BC Filly & Mare Turf which I had forgotten about.

January 2018 is when she was officially retired with breeding plans to War Front.

While I recognize the thread bump was a spamming effort, I would appreciate it if someone could explain the auction to me. Lady Eli was consigned by Hill 'n' Dale, and then bought by Hill 'n' Dale (according to Wikipedia). Why?

According to Equibase (which I would trust more than Wiki ), Lady Eli's owner at the time of the sale was Sheep Pond Partners. Sheep Pond bought her at the 2014 Keeneland April 2 yo sale.

Hill 'n' Dale bought her for $4.2M.

Anyway, offtopic. I won on this race. and with prize money, I launched my new website where you can buy RS Gold.

Ummm, that was my post #37 on page 2 a year and a half ago. I think this is a scammer launching their go,d sales website and will flag it

I clicked on here thinking maybe Lady Eli's War Front baby has joined us. Anybody know?

Ohhhh, cutie and even came with a blaze. IIRC many of the WFs have a good bit of white on their faces, nothing garish, quite tasteful.

I can see why the way the listing reads is confusing. At TB sales, the "consignor" is an agent. It's the person who handles the sale for the horse's owner(s). A consignor may also own the horses they consign--or a piece of them. Or they may have no financial involvement at all.

Hill n' Dale is a large KY farm with stallions and broodmares. They also act as bloodstock agents for some clients. So in theory, John Sikura (owner of HnD) could have handled this transaction merely acting an as agent representing parties on both ends. Although in this case, I believe he purchased the mare for himself.

                              I hope that's clear.
