Your horse can probably move up to Training level if you make it a goal like Bush has made it a goal to get Roe v. Wade reversed.

Forum rules and no-advertising policy
As a participant on this forum, it is your responsibility to know and follow our rules. Please read this message in its entirety.
Board Rules
1. You’re responsible for what you say.
As outlined in Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, The Chronicle of the Horse and its affiliates, as well Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd., the developers of vBulletin, are not legally responsible for statements made in the forums.
This is a public forum viewed by a wide spectrum of people, so please be mindful of what you say and who might be reading it—details of personal disputes are likely better handled privately. While posters are legally responsible for their statements, the moderators may in their discretion remove or edit posts that violate these rules. Users have the ability to modify or delete their own messages after posting, but administrators generally will not delete posts, threads or accounts upon request.
Outright inflammatory, vulgar, harassing, malicious or otherwise inappropriate statements and criminal charges unsubstantiated by a reputable news source or legal documentation will not be tolerated and will be dealt with at the discretion of the moderators.
Credible threats of suicide will be reported to the police along with identifying user information at our disposal, in addition to referring the user to suicide helpline resources such as 1-800-SUICIDE or 1-800-273-TALK.
2. Conversations in horse-related forums should be horse-related.
The forums are a wonderful source of information and support for members of the horse community. While it’s understandably tempting to share information or search for input on other topics upon which members might have a similar level of knowledge, members must maintain the focus on horses.
3. Keep conversations productive, on topic and civil.
Discussion and disagreement are inevitable and encouraged; personal insults, diatribes and sniping comments are unproductive and unacceptable. Whether a subject is light-hearted or serious, keep posts focused on the current topic and of general interest to other participants of that thread. Utilize the private message feature or personal email where appropriate to address side topics or personal issues not related to the topic at large.
4. No advertising in the discussion forums.
Posts in the discussion forums directly or indirectly advertising horses, jobs, items or services for sale or wanted will be removed at the discretion of the moderators. Use of the private messaging feature or email addresses obtained through users’ profiles for unsolicited advertising is not permitted.
Company representatives may participate in discussions and answer questions about their products or services, or suggest their products on recent threads if they fulfill the criteria of a query. False "testimonials" provided by company affiliates posing as general consumers are not appropriate, and self-promotion of sales, ad campaigns, etc. through the discussion forums is not allowed.
Paid advertising is available on our classifieds site and through the purchase of banner ads. The tightly monitored Giveaways forum permits free listings of genuinely free horses and items available or wanted (on a limited basis). Items offered for trade are not allowed.
Advertising Policy Specifics
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a moderator privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:
Horses – Only general discussion about the buying, leasing, selling and pricing of horses is permitted. If the post contains, or links to, the type of specific information typically found in a sales or wanted ad, and it’s related to a horse for sale, regardless of who’s selling it, it doesn’t belong in the discussion forums.
Stallions – Board members may ask for suggestions on breeding stallion recommendations. Stallion owners may reply to such queries by suggesting their own stallions, only if their horse fits the specific criteria of the original poster. Excessive promotion of a stallion by its owner or related parties is not permitted and will be addressed at the discretion of the moderators.
Services – Members may use the forums to ask for general recommendations of trainers, barns, shippers, farriers, etc., and other members may answer those requests by suggesting themselves or their company, if their services fulfill the specific criteria of the original post. Members may not solicit other members for business if it is not in response to a direct, genuine query.
Products – While members may ask for general opinions and suggestions on equipment, trailers, trucks, etc., they may not list the specific attributes for which they are in the market, as such posts serve as wanted ads.
Event Announcements – Members may post one notification of an upcoming event that may be of interest to fellow members, if the original poster does not benefit financially from the event. Such threads may not be “bumped” excessively. Premium members may post their own notices in the Event Announcements forum.
Charities/Rescues – Announcements for charitable or fundraising events can only be made for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. Special exceptions may be made, at the moderators’ discretion and direction, for board-related events or fundraising activities in extraordinary circumstances.
Occasional posts regarding horses available for adoption through IRS-registered horse rescue or placement programs are permitted in the appropriate forums, but these threads may be limited at the discretion of the moderators. Individuals may not advertise or make announcements for horses in need of rescue, placement or adoption unless the horse is available through a recognized rescue or placement agency or government-run entity or the thread fits the criteria for and is located in the Giveaways forum.
5. Do not post copyrighted photographs unless you have purchased that photo and have permission to do so.
6. Respect other members.
As members are often passionate about their beliefs and intentions can easily be misinterpreted in this type of environment, try to explore or resolve the inevitable disagreements that arise in the course of threads calmly and rationally.
If you see a post that you feel violates the rules of the board, please click the “alert” button (exclamation point inside of a triangle) in the bottom left corner of the post, which will alert ONLY the moderators to the post in question. They will then take whatever action, or no action, as deemed appropriate for the situation at their discretion. Do not air grievances regarding other posters or the moderators in the discussion forums.
Please be advised that adding another user to your “Ignore” list via your User Control Panel can be a useful tactic, which blocks posts and private messages by members whose commentary you’d rather avoid reading.
7. We have the right to reproduce statements made in the forums.
The Chronicle of the Horse may copy, quote, link to or otherwise reproduce posts, or portions of posts, in print or online for advertising or editorial purposes, if attributed to their original authors, and by posting in this forum, you hereby grant to The Chronicle of the Horse a perpetual, non-exclusive license under copyright and other rights, to do so.
8. We reserve the right to enforce and amend the rules.
The moderators may delete, edit, move or close any post or thread at any time, or refrain from doing any of the foregoing, in their discretion, and may suspend or revoke a user’s membership privileges at any time to maintain adherence to the rules and the general spirit of the forum. These rules may be amended at any time to address the current needs of the board.

I agree with LMH. Those of you who are having problems with things, go out and make a difference, NOW! Get involved, know your facts and get others involved too. No, there probably isnt much you can do about the presidential election, but there are other areas where the people do have power and the more you get involved now, the more impact you can make the next time.
I also have to add that I honestly dont think that Kerry was supported how he should have been (whoa- dont flame me yet- hear me out). He should have been supported as a potential leader, but the majority of the time, it was more that the people just didnt want to see BUsh in office. It wasnt that they wanted Kerry to be pres, they just wanted Bush outta there.
I wasnt a huge fan of either candidate. I think that the political system and the use of the electoral votes needs some MAJOR work!
Please people, don't leave the country. The country needs support and if you feel that strongly, get out and let your voice be heard!

If I could leave now, I would. Unfortunately the financial and tax consequences would be severe. So, later.

UNCEventer, this was posted on another message board. I just don't have this much faith.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
"Well, CNN has just called Ohio in Bush's favor. I do not like to see Bush as president again, and the results of this election are extremely troubling for a number of reasons.
I firmly believe that Bush and his cohorts represent what will turn out to be the western Taliban, a fundamentalist Christian corporatocracy. It scares me to think that so many Americans have so skewed a sense of morality, and "morality" is one of the top reasons so many have given for supporting these devils. I do believe that it was the "moral" issues of abortion and gay marriage that brought Bush his support at the polls. But, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you, he is anything but a moral man.
My sense of morality does NOT condone lying to Congress, the American people, and our overseas allies to rationalize an unneeded war. My sense of morality does NOT condone pharmaceutical companies making huge profits on life-saving drugs while millions of Americans cannot afford them. My sense of morality does NOT include saving the "unborn" for a future of poverty and a failing education system.
The principle problem that our country will face in the years to come is not terrorism, it is not healthcare, and it is not the economy. No, the greatest problem we face today as citizens of this nation is the ideological schism among the American people. In most states throughout the Union, we see results that are quite close, even though they have been called for one side or the other. As it stands, a little over half the nation follows the Bush version of morality, a belief system the rest of us vehemently disdain. We have reached a point where we cannot reconcile the differences between one faction and the other. My friends, we are in the second American Civil War, only the shooting hasn't yet begun.
And, God willing, the shooting won't have to begin. After Bush first became president, there arose a sentiment in this country that has strongly opposed the man and the policies he stands for. Over four years that grass-roots sentiment has grown stronger and gained support, and though it has not been able to bring a clear victory over Bush and the far-right, we cannot, we must not give up. Despite the darkness of this hour, my friends, we must continue to put our energies into opposing Bush and his destructive agenda. Continue to sign petitions, continue to send messages to your representatives and senators in congress.
Now is not the time to lose heart. When America's first great naval hero, John Paul Jones, stood on the deck of his ship Bonhomme Richard against the larger 50-gun British Serapis , the picture was very grim. With his hull holed near the waterline, spars shot to pieces, rigging mangled, and masts weakened, Jones was in a precarious position. When Captain Pearson of the Serapis called across the waves, "Has your ship struck?" the defiant Jones shouted back, "I have not yet begun to fight."
My friends, the fight is just now beginning for America's future. I, for one, shall never give up on this nation, and her proper ideals of Liberty, Equality, and Democracy. I will not give up on the dream of America, that so many patriots have bled and died for on the field of battle, on the streets of the segregated South, and in the union picket lines of the industrializing North. And I ask every one of you fellow American citizens to help keep this dream alive, as I ask every fellow citizen of the world to understand that there are still those of us in this nation who will fight against the America that Bush represents.
Now is not the time to bow our heads and weep, now is not the time for American patriots to flee to foriegn lands, now is not the time to give up on America. It is the time that we the people reassert our influence, freedom, and proper place in this nation. "

Why is it that those who supported Kerry keep thinking that bush et al ever said anything about reenstating the draft except to say no wil not happen.
It was 2 dem congressmen who brought the whole thing up then turned around and voteded against their own bill(s). the bush adminstation never ever ever stated anything about reenstating the draft. Oh wait that may be incorrect I did hear some rumbelings in the days after 9-11 but I do not know if those wre from Bush or not. think they may have been internet and /or news media rumbelings only.
Just be happy that bush did win or Kerry may have the draft to cover the military personel who leave because he was voted in. the majority of the military supported bush and stated that htey would find ways to get out of contracts. Be glad be very glad.Friend of bar .ka

Um, yes, there has been discussion of a possible draft. And no, a draft does not mean just troops. There's a lot more to fighting a war than people on the ground.
I'm not contributing to this discussion on a public BB-- no one on here is changing their opinions due to learning something new from another poster, but I commend the ones who've posted without bias and who are truly searching for a better life; some of the ones who've been called names, you deserve it.

Wow! This thread was getting longer faster than I can read. A few points:
1. Those of you on both sides of the "mulsim profiling" issue should smack yourself. What is being profiled are individuals of middle eastern descent. Many of YOU would be offended to have it assumed you are christian/jewish/wiccan because of your appearance. Profiling works. Talk to a law enforcement officer who has been sent to Quantico to study the processes. And EGS has a very valid point--the acts of international terrorism that have target the U.S. has been committed by young men of middle eastern descent. Quite frankly, I could careless what their religion is.
2. For those of you concerned about the Patriot Act I would encourge you to study the laws on the books concerning enforcement drug laws. I look forward to watching the political fall out in your advocation of lessening the ablities of law enforcement crack down on the drug trade.
3. I'm stunned that Kerry was so politcally inept that he could not capitalize on Bush's weakness. It should have been a cakewalk for him. That he would intentionally focus attention on 3 purple hearts that required not a single day in the hopital tells me he is not and has not surrounded himself with politically compentent people and is not prepared to be the President.
4. The 3 years since 9/11 is the longest we gone without a terrorist attack in decades.
5. 27% of 18-35 year olds voted in 2000. 27% of 18-35 year olds voted in 2004. How many of you fall in that age group?
6. I'm not sure what I find more distasteful. Those that think they should leave the country (like college is some reason you can't?--I'd hate for you to be inconvienced) or citizens of other countries telling me I should be ashamed of my democracy.

Hey, I only claimed to talk to one. And my German friends don't really give a rat's patoot. To be honest, many of the Europeans I know just shake their heads when asked their opinon of American politics.
Personally, I like the British answer to campaigning. They have something like two weeks from the time Parliament is dissolved to let folks know they're standing (not running) for office and to campaign. How refreshing that would be! And just think of what the $4 million (or was it billion?) dollars we'd have saved on this campaign alone could have done for social programs, Social Security, and a host of other worthy entities.
