  • Winter wear when pregant?

    TIA!

I am a saddle fitter and work outside during the winter. In Jan and Fed it is routinely between 0 and 20 degrees for most of the day. I normally layer and wear snow pants to stay warm. However I am at a loss since I can not find warm maternity wear. Any suggestions or what did you do?

Maybe overall style snow pants, sized up? Mine was born in November, and I live in California. I can't even imagine those temps, brrr!!!

It was a million years ago, but I wore my husband's insulated bib overalls. (I think they were Carhartt) They opened on both sides and had suspenders. I started out fastening the closures, and eventually wore them without fastening. They kept me warm when I needed to raise the two way zipper on my jacket. Now days, they have "maternity coat extenders".

My friend had this knee length down parka with zippers on both sides (and the front like normal), so it expanded as she got bigger through the winter. I think she still wears it this winter, post baby, just with the zippers closed. There is extra material behind the zippers, so not just like a slit.

ETA—will see if I can find out what brand/where she got it!
