Board Rules

2. Conversations in horse-related forums should be horse-related.3. Keep conversations productive, on topic and civil.
Discussion and disagreement are inevitable and encouraged; personal insults, diatribes and sniping comments are unproductive and unacceptable. Whether a subject is light-hearted or serious, keep posts focused on the current topic and of general interest to other participants of that thread. Utilize the private message feature or personal email where appropriate to address side topics or personal issues not related to the topic at large.

Advertising Policy Specifics
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a moderator privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:

Stallion owners may reply to such queries by suggesting their own stallions, only if their horse fits the specific criteria of the original poster. Excessive promotion of a stallion by its owner or related parties is not permitted and will be addressed at the discretion of the moderators.

Members may use the forums to ask for general recommendations of trainers, barns, shippers, farriers, etc., and other members may answer those requests by suggesting themselves or their company, if their services fulfill the specific criteria of the original post. Members may not solicit other members for business if it is not in response to a direct, genuine query.

While members may ask for general opinions and suggestions on equipment, trailers, trucks, etc., they may not list the specific attributes for which they are in the market, as such posts serve as wanted ads.

  • Central Park Horse Show 2019

Does anyone know if this year’s show will actually take place? I have been looking for information online (more specifically, I want to buy tickets) and I can find nothing about it other than the notice that last year’s show was cancelled but this year’s will be bigger and better!

I too am interested in buying tickets, and knowing whether or not there will be a show in 2019.

Doesn't the show have a website or a FB page that would give 2019 dates if it is actually taking place? I went to the first show a few years ago and I think the tickets were sold on Ticketmaster, you could check there for upcoming events. I'm not positive if that is how I bought my tickets but I think it was an option.

        Google says September 18-22, 2019.

It says there is a FB page but FB is blocked at my office so I can't view it.

I suggested this on the previous thread, but if the show is happening, it is going to be run by ESP, the same company that runs the shows in Wellington and Tryon. You could email their office and ask about Central Park.

Did send an email. No response.

I checked the Central Park Horse Show Facebook page and there's no mention of the 2019 NYC show. I messaged them via FB and no response. I also contacted Central Park and the CP Conservancy and they didn't have anything on their event schedule.

Yes, there is nothing online about it - not even an announcement saying it isn’t taking place. So it seems that morning is happening. I’m sorry it’s not taking place.

I just received word from The Chronicle of the Horse that the 2019 NYC Central Park Horse Show has been canceled.

I posted a thread about it a week or so ago. Sad face.
