Board Rules

2. Conversations in horse-related forums should be horse-related.3. Keep conversations productive, on topic and civil.
Discussion and disagreement are inevitable and encouraged; personal insults, diatribes and sniping comments are unproductive and unacceptable. Whether a subject is light-hearted or serious, keep posts focused on the current topic and of general interest to other participants of that thread. Utilize the private message feature or personal email where appropriate to address side topics or personal issues not related to the topic at large.

4. No advertising in the discussion forums.classifieds site and through the purchase of banner ads. The tightly monitored Giveaways forum permits free listings of genuinely free horses and items available or wanted (on a limited basis). Items offered for trade are not allowed.

Advertising Policy Specifics
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a moderator privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:

Board members may ask for suggestions on breeding stallion recommendations. Stallion owners may reply to such queries by suggesting their own stallions, only if their horse fits the specific criteria of the original poster. Excessive promotion of a stallion by its owner or related parties is not permitted and will be addressed at the discretion of the moderators.

Members may use the forums to ask for general recommendations of trainers, barns, shippers, farriers, etc., and other members may answer those requests by suggesting themselves or their company, if their services fulfill the specific criteria of the original post. Members may not solicit other members for business if it is not in response to a direct, genuine query.

While members may ask for general opinions and suggestions on equipment, trailers, trucks, etc., they may not list the specific attributes for which they are in the market, as such posts serve as wanted ads.

  • Vet Pharmacy RacehorseMeds? Anyone have any knowledge of them or their reputation?

They seem to have the best prices on injectable joint meds, but nowhere on their web site does it indicate their location. I emailed requesting their location and got no reply, which seems iffy to me, as I had emailed them once before with a question and received a reply. I am leery about ordering stuff from a company that may be in location where there is no oversight or scrutiny regarding pharmaceuticals. Any input appreciated.

Just checked their site and they have a notice up about problems with their 'Contact Us' page - apparently it is hooped. In light of that and the time of year, give them a couple of days

I don't know where they are located but have ordered from them with no problems.

Sk-pacer, I saw that and sent email to the address given ( not on their "contact us" page) and as I said, the first question I sent I got a very quick answer, the second time , did the same thing, and nothing. That doesn't mean they got it, but it did not come back to me as unable to send, or no address found. Big G's Mom, did you have to pay any "custom fees" or extraordinary shipping fees that might indicate an overseas address? This stuff is so expensive to use routinely , and I am not rich, so want to be comfortable that I get what I've ordered. Thank you both for your input.

I'm about 90% sure they are in Florida. The FDA has been trying to stop them and the other sites similar to them for a while but somehow they aren't breaking the law I guess.
No weird shipping fees. I have ordered from them before. I think shipping is 12$.

Do a search here as we've had several threads about them in the past. I thought they were in Canada.

I actually called their 800 number yesterday and asked where they were located. The gal said they were in Kansas. Okee dokee.
