Advertising Policy Specifics
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a moderator privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:

Board members may ask for suggestions on breeding stallion recommendations. • How hard is it to get entry into the AECs?

Not asking about qualifying, but how difficult is it to gain a spot once you are qualified? I realize it is a popular season goal - assuming more qualified riders than slots available? I really wanted to ride at Richland Park - never got in, only waitlisted. Now Richland Park is no more . I feel I can qualify for the 2019 AECs assuming things continue to go well for us, but don't want to get my hopes up to ride at the KHP if only a small percentage of those who enter actually make it in. Looking for some insight....

    Thanks!!

Savor those rides where you feel like a million bucks, because there will be those where you feel like a cheap date...

I believe everyone who has submitted an entry has been accepted. Kentucky has over 800 stalls and the ability to add temporary stalls so I don't see a problem at KHP either.

Plus lots of people who qualify don't go because any location is always going to be inconvenient for a lots of riders.
      Let me apologize in advance.

The difficulty to get in depends a lot on the location. Colorado has difficulty because the location is not feasible for everyone. I foresee the 2019 AECs being easily filled because of the location and it's proximity to many east coast events. Make it a goal for yourself to go, and once you know you are qualified, enter online on opening day to get in! That was the only way to get into Richland

Thanks for all the feedback. I know KHP will be very popular since the location is desirable. And yes, me and a friend entered Richland online with Event Entries, staying up late and registering just past midnight on opening day. Also paid the fee to have my Coggins, signature page, etc. all digitized per more experienced riders' advice. We still didn't get in, and now never will. I assumed a national championship would be harder to get in than an event in MI. Hopefully I'm wrong!

I've never heard of any of the AECs having a wait list.

Nope. Not the same. If you get qualified and enter on time, you will get in (no need to enter in the middle of the night).
