  • Tekna S Line Endurance

I just purchased a used/virtually new Tekna S Line Endurance saddle that has only had about 3 rides on it and was purchased just last year. I am Not familiar with the Tekna saddles at all, but have tried a Wintec 500 AP on my mare. I decided on this Tekna as I primarily ride trails, swimming with my mare and loved that this Tekna had extra areas to attach water bottles, saddle bag, etc where the Wintec did not.

However, I cannot find any information on this saddle Online anywhere so far and would appreciate Any and All comments regarding it, but no rudeness.

Many Many Thanks in advance. Will attach photos of the saddle as well.

What questions do you have? I have an S-line jumping and an AP Club saddle. I really like both. They have held up phenomenally well-both have taken a ton of abuse on trail and doing competitive rides. They are not as well known as Wintec but I think they are better made.

The S-line endurance is the same as the S-line jumping, only difference is the additional d-rings. They both take the same gullet plates, as does the all purpose Club saddle.

ERS (English Riding Supply) is the main US distributor and I have had good success with their customer service when I needed gullet screws. One caution if you need to change the gullet plate. The first set of screws are "slotted" and only made to turn 1/4 turn to open. Don't think you are going to turn that screw head like a regular screw because you will strip it! (Ask me how I know!)

Tekna have a really good reputation, esp the jumping saddles.
I have one ( a leather one) that I bought super cheap for a difficult fit horse (that it didnt fit!) but will try it on my other horse as the feedback is so good. I havent ridden in it yet though.

I have changed the gullet in it and the slot screws I find impossible to get it, I have to get my SO to do that part.

I have 11 of the Club saddles for my camp program and I've been very happy with them. They look nice, fit a wide variety of backs, and are reasonably comfortable (though I would for sure add a good seat cushion if I was going to be out more than a couple hours).

          Patience pays.
