Forum rules and no-advertising policy

As a participant on this forum, it is your responsibility to know and follow our rules. Please read this message in its entirety.

Board Rules

2. Conversations in horse-related forums should be horse-related.3. Keep conversations productive, on topic and civil.
Discussion and disagreement are inevitable and encouraged; personal insults, diatribes and sniping comments are unproductive and unacceptable. Whether a subject is light-hearted or serious, keep posts focused on the current topic and of general interest to other participants of that thread. Utilize the private message feature or personal email where appropriate to address side topics or personal issues not related to the topic at large.

4. No advertising in the discussion forums.classifieds site and through the purchase of banner ads. The tightly monitored Giveaways forum permits free listings of genuinely free horses and items available or wanted (on a limited basis). Items offered for trade are not allowed.

Advertising Policy Specifics
When in doubt of whether something you want to post constitutes advertising, please contact a moderator privately in advance for further clarification. Refer to the following points for general guidelines:

Board members may ask for suggestions on breeding stallion recommendations. Stallion owners may reply to such queries by suggesting their own stallions, only if their horse fits the specific criteria of the original poster. Excessive promotion of a stallion by its owner or related parties is not permitted and will be addressed at the discretion of the moderators.

Members may use the forums to ask for general recommendations of trainers, barns, shippers, farriers, etc., and other members may answer those requests by suggesting themselves or their company, if their services fulfill the specific criteria of the original post. Members may not solicit other members for business if it is not in response to a direct, genuine query.

While members may ask for general opinions and suggestions on equipment, trailers, trucks, etc., they may not list the specific attributes for which they are in the market, as such posts serve as wanted ads.

5. Do not post copyrighted photographs unless you have purchased that photo and have permission to do so.

6. Respect other members.7. We have the right to reproduce statements made in the forums.

    And, yes, we are definitely talking abstract since Tryon is doing what they are obligated to do to keep their customers happy and to stay on the right side of legality .

    Remember, the purchase of a ticket was a purchase of a ticket. It wasn't a go fund me or a kickstarter. It was payment for goods/services promised.
    It is perfectly legal to not provide refunds for events canceled due to weather when the terms and conditions of purchase so indicate.

    It would be illegal to sell tickets to an event you did not intend to hold. You could even face criminal fraud charges in most jurisdictions.

      Is anyone else still waiting on their said refund? I opted for the refund and it said it would arrive within 30 days....nothing so far. I've emailed with no response.

        Does anyone know how to contact the WEG ticketing group regarding this refund? I have tried emailing and calling multiple times but it looks like no one is manning the account or phone since the games are over. I have 8 tickets (I bought them for our group) that need the refund, but I can't get a response from anyone. So frustrating.

          I was just going to do the same thing. I think I am going to try and call Tryon directly. I bought 5 of them... 30 days is up... This is how the games will never be held in the US again. poor service and broken promises...

            are there any layers on here that we could start a class action suit? They promised us a refund and have not followed through.

              I contacted Abby Decker yesterday, and she said they are being processed this week. She is the person I dealt with when I had questions on seating, and she has been very responsive.

                  I hope your right because it won't look good if there has to be a lawsuit to get the refund they promised.. This is what a lack of communication does. It frustrates people.

                    I wish I had so much extra time on my hands that I would consider a class action law suit over $144. Seriously people?

                    I fully expect Tryon will follow thru on their refund, all this knashing of teeth can't be healthy for you! Peace.

                      Has anybody gotten their refund yet? Last post was on October 24, 2018, saying it would be 7 to 10 days, but haven't gotten mine yet.

                          Being from Australia should not matter since it is supposed to post electronically to your credit card account. Just wish I knew something more about what was going on.

                            I got an invoice on 26th Oct saying my refund had been processed. Abby told me last week that it should hit my account "soon"

                            ETA - Just looked on the FB page, someone claims they were sent a refund as a check 3 days ago?! I don't recall seeing that as a refund option?!

                                          Still waiting for my refund too. My invoice shows a credit for the tickets, on Oct 12, but I checked my Credit card and its not there.... I tried emailing, no response then today tried 828-863-1471 which has a message about receiving a lot of phone calls, so I'm kind of thinking that's an old message....anyone have any luck with any other number?
