Regretfully offering up a sweet TB gelding, DOB 3-7-2002, JC registered. Approx 16.1 hh (he's a big boy but I honestly haven't sticked him since he was a youngin).
He was started under saddle as a 3 y/o and worked (pleasure/dressage/occasional low stadium fences/trail) till the summer of 6 y/o. He incurred an injury to his deep digital flexor tendon and was laid off for rehab for well over a year, when he was ridden a handful of times (w/t) and lunged a little only to end up back as a pasture pet due to my work and personal committments. He has remained sound since the injury, but has never been put back into regular work as I haven't had a chance to do so. Pleasea review my last thread started for more detail as to why, but it had nothing to do with soundness - simply my time, finances to allow for help training, and lost confidence after not having ridden regularly for several years now.
When under saddle regularly (a few times a week) he is an easy ride - very laid back but not push button or a husband horse of any kind. Intermediate level rider. Right now I would recommend an experienced rider, or a confident intermediate rider with a good instructor/trainer to guide through the first month or two back under saddle.
This is not a urgent placement - the best possible home will be chosen, and if one isn't found we will keep him and make it work. I would LOVE to do a part lease or lease situation (he would need to stay on site most likely, but this could *possibly* be negotiated for the right person). He's currently boarded at an event barn - two indoors, all weather outdoor, galloping track in Sheridan, IN.
He is a great horse - very personable, eager to please, wants a job to do. He's not meant to be a pasture puff. I just have a 3 mo old son that needs me more right now and my heart just isn't in the horse scene anymore. I've let this boy sit for over a year when he was ready to ride in hopes that my feelings would change, but unfortunately I now know it would be better if someone could enjoy him more than I have this past year.
Will be open and honest in regards to vet records, temperament, etc. Ask anything, I want a long term placement. He was not "green broke." He had several years of solid riding in him and you could hop on and go. He needs some work and a good brushup and I believe he'll be that horse again.
These are the most current pics I have on this computer, I can take current ones for interested parties. I thought I had more current ones on here but they are on the old computer.

Have a few short videos, nothing special just w/t in a lesson a couple yrs ago, but enough to show you he's safe and sane when in work. He's been ridden alongside roads and on trails, although it's been several yrs since this.
