Visiting Instructor – Equine Business Management

The nationally known Equine Business Management program at Cazenovia College, a small co-educational college in Central New York, invites applications for a renewable Visiting Instructor term appointment in Equine Business Management for the 2022-2023 academic year, with the possibility of a tenure track position.

The Equine Business Management program is a specialization within the Division of Business and Management’s Bachelor of Professional Studies management degree, an IACBE accredited program. Teaching responsibilities include lecture and laboratory courses in the Equine Business Management program such as Equine Nutrition, Equine Anatomy and Physiology, Equine Reproductive Management, Equine Selection and Judging, and other Equine or Equine Business courses as needed. Additional duties to include student advisement, course development, scholarship/professional development, committee work, solicitation of horse donations, liaison with the industry, and duties within the Division/Equine Department/Equine Education Center as assigned.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree (MS or PhD in Animal Science/Equine Science preferred) with prior teaching experience, preferably in an Equine Science/Equine Studies/Equine Business Management program. Prior participation in the performance horse or sport horse industries is also desired.
