Sire of Dressage Winners in Europe and North America

In 2023 Uno’s daughter UNO Day Sun made her CDI3* Grand Prix debut at Herning. She’s also a national Grand Prix winner and CDI3* winner at the Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I level.

Uno’s son Independent Little Me continues to have a successful FEI career. At the 2023 Jumping Amsterdam, he finished in 5th place with a 71.618% in the Prix St. Georges.  In 2021, he won the CDI1* Intermediate I class at Munich with a 72.979%. He also finished 4th in the CDI4* Prix St. Georges class with a 73.617% at CDIO Aachen. Independent Little Me was named the 2020 KWPN Gelders Horse of the Year. He also won the Silver Medal, ZZ-Zwaar Level, at the Dutch National Championships, with scores to nearly 78%. In 2019, the handsome chestnut stallion was top 8 at the World Championships for Young Horses, 6-year-old division.

Hoejvangs Unik, a stallion by Uno, is competing in CDI3* and CDIam Grand Prix level, earning top placings at shows such as Herning and Kristiansand.

Also in Europe, Moselunds Domic won CDIam classes at the Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I level with scores in the 70s.

Another top European Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I competitor is Solhoej’s Lord Falcor. The gelding has also successfully competed in the Young Rider division, winning classes at Hickstead with scores in the 70s.

Early in his breeding career, Uno produced the Danish Licensing Champion, ERA Dancing Hit, as well as two mares who claimed bronze medals at the prestigious Danish mare show. ERA Dancing Hit is the sire of Donkey Boy, the Danish Licensing Champion, Danish Young Horse Champion, two-time medalist at the World Young Horse Championships and CDI3* Intermediate I Freestyle winner with scores to 75.50%.

In North America, Killian TF was the 2020 GAIG/USDF Region 2 Second Level Champion, as well as sixth place in the 5-Year-Old division at the USEF Young Horse Championships. The year before, Killian TF finished in the top 10 at the USEF Young Horse Championships, four-year-old division.

Lennox TF was Champion Training Level JR/YR in the 2020 USDF All Breeds Awards (KWPN-NA). Koa won at Training Level with scores to nearly 74% and received five year-end trophies from the Rocky Mountain Dressage Society. Numerous Uno offspring are competing in the United States, earning trips to the GAIG/USDF Regional Championships.

Uno is also a versatile sire. In 2022, Pangaea was named Best Young Horse at The Devon Horse Show. In 2019, Nikita was the #1 Hunter Yearling in the nation, KWPN-NA. 

Winning Performance Career and International Bloodlines
Uno himself had an illustrious performance career. In North America, he won Prix St. Georges and I-I classes at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival with scores above 73%. Before his importation to the USA, Uno represented Denmark at the World Young Horse Championships as a six-year-old and continued up the levels to advanced.

Uno, as he’s known at the barn, was bred by the legendary Stutteri UNO in Denmark. He passed his 35-day performance test with a total dressage score of 866 and jumping total of 709. He was licensed as a premium stallion in 2006 by the Danish Warmblood Society. At his final grading in 2007, he was awarded a breeder’s silver medal and the Challenge Cup of Aage Ravn for being the best 4-year-old Danish-bred dressage breedsire. 

Uno Don Diego’s sire is Dressage Royal, whose bloodlines include the popular Donnerhall x Rubinstein I cross. With excellent conformation and quality character, Dressage Royal received an 8.2 in rideability at his stallion testing. He’s also the sire of five Grand Prix horses.

Uno’s dam, UNO Frederica, became a legend in her own time, producing two licensed sons, Uno Don Diego and UNO Don Diablo, as well as the remarkable UNO Donna Unique, World Young Horse Champion.
