Silver Twist

FEATURED

Silver Twist is a direct descendant of Bonne Nuit through Good Twist, the most successful American bloodline in the United States in producing world-class jumpers. Good Twist, of Frank Chapot fame, is Silver Twist’s grandsire, making the immortal Gem Twist his mother’s half brother.
On the bottom line, his dam’s grand-dam produced Jet Run. On the top side, Silver Twist’s sire is the World Cup Finals winning Trakehner, Abdullah. Abdullah, the incredibly successful Canadian-bred stallion, earned team Gold and individual Silver in the 1984 Olympics and won a multitude of Grand Prixs and Nation’s Cups under several riders.
Abdullah, who is in the Showjumping Hall of Fame and was named Best Horse at the World Championships, produced two Grand Prix stars and at least three Horses of the Year in hunters. Silver Twist’s dam Star News was a direct descendant of the Bonne Nuit–New Twist–Good Twist line.
Good Twist and Frank Chapot were the fastest duo in indoor history in the 1960s. Relatives of international caliber on both sides of Silver Twist’s pedigree include Gem Twist, Abracadabra, Airborne Monticello, Night Spree, Night Owl, Bonte II, Hollandia, Riviera Wonder, Miss Budweiser, Silver Lining, Good News Joe, Night Lark, Catch On Fire, Jet Run, and many others.

Silver Twist was lightly shown as a consequence of multiple skull fractures as a foal. In just four shows, Silver Twist earned top honors as the United States Dressage Federation Sporthorse Breeding Stallion of the Year in 2005. He is approved Premium by the American Warmblood Registry, registered and DNA-verified with the American Trakehner Association (Anglo-Trakehner division), and registered with the Performance Horse Registry. He has a lifetime nomination to the International Jumper Futurity. Silver Twist is an amazing mover, has a correct and powerful jump, and has a sweet, fun-loving personality. His foals are known for rideability, confidence, willingness, and versatility. His offspring are competing successfully in hunter paces, in hunter breeding, and in jumpers.
