Shady Oaks Equestrian Center

FEATURED

We are located conveniently close to the 76, on the border between Bonsall and Vista. We proudly host Olivia Loiacono with OLK Eventing and run a top notch training and care program! We have 22 stalls (10 indoor 12×12 stalls with outdoor runs [$800] and 12 mare-motel stalls that are 16×24 [$650]). We have 4, nicely sized and newly built vinyl turnouts. We have one large arena (approx 150×250). In addition to our arena, we have a 60′ covered round pen (great for rainy OR hot days!) Our barn and arena are surrounded by avocado grove hills and are quite a distance from the road, so the atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful. We have someone living on the premises at all times, and do checks nightly. We have very close access to trails that run along the San Luis Rey riverbed (along Old River rd.) Training is a requirement for boarding, with and our rates are as follows: Full training (5xweek) at $850, Half training (3xweek), at $550, and Board level training (the minimum requirement) (2xmonth) at $150. Each horse gets a maximum of 5 flakes a day of high quality Timothy or Orchard (2 in the AM, 1 LUNCH and 2 PM). Boarding includes blanketing in the winter, two daily muckings, and all feeding. Daily turnout is an extra $75 a month.

In addition to Olivia Loiacono, we also host the horsemanship professional Craig Harrison. Craig is a patient, talented trainer when it comes to ground work and horsemanship. He breaks young horses, helps solve horses “problems,” with things such as loading, biting, grooming, kicking, girthiness, etc. Horses are able to trailer in to work with Craig, or Craig will travel around the county to you.

For both trainers, we offer trailer in lessons for the small grounds fee of $15, or $20 if you borrow an open stall for the day.
