We have two openings at our private family estate, Scarlet Ridge Farm, in Pine Bush, NY – just 70 miles from NYC. Are you looking for a beautiful place with individualized care to retire your beloved show horse? Does your off-the-track Thoroughbred need time off before beginning his new career? Is your horse recovering from an injury and in need of a period of rest? We offer pasture board on beautiful grassy fields overlooking the Shawangunk mountains, with solid run-in sheds and a stall in bad weather. Your horse will have semi-private turnout with a well-matched companion. Board INCLUDES: nutritious and soft second cutting hay, Nutrena grain, trims with our wonderful farrier ($50 at our expense!), biannual fecal testing and any necessary deworming, multiple daily health checks and basic first aid, blanket changes, fly spray, light grooming and baths, occasional Bute and Banamine if needed, photos and video updates, and tons of love, special attention, and healthy treats. We also have a small but very nice outdoor ring. We are experienced in transitioning show horses from majority stall life to majority pasture life. $550/month.
