Full-Time Instructor/Asst. Barn Manager Wanted
Spring is here and Summer Camp is soon to follow! Potomac Horse Center is looking to add another upbeat, personable instructor to our staff!
This is primarily a teaching position; you must truly love to teach and be especially patient with beginners. Other duties include: riding (really!), making feeds, assisting with vet work, assisting the vets and farriers, etc. No mucking. $10.75/hr plus o/t (wages automatically increase to $11.50/hr in August 2017), shared rent-free housing (sorry, no small pets of any kind) and discounted board is available.
PHC is a great place to work! We have 45 school horses, 3 indoor arenas, 1 large outdoor arena (lit up at night – so wonderful in the nice weather), trails, truly nice boarders, ~ 350 lesson clients per week, on-site shows, traveling show teams (JEL, NCEL, PREP and IEA), as well as other away showing opportunities. We teach children and adults, recreational as well as serious riders, privates, semi-privates, groups, equitation, hunter/jumper and dressage.
We’re a big, busy, family-friendly place with lots of activity. We’re on the edge of the suburbs yet close to everything. You’ll interact with the public on a daily basis and experience life in a large equestrian center.
