Sire Diamant d’Semilly needs no explanation as he is continuously ranked as one of the leading show jumping sires of the world. As a competitor, Diamant was one of the top international horses of his day. He qualified for both the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, and jumped 11 out of 12 clear rounds in nation cups for the French Team in 2002. His offspring include the up and coming stallion Emerald under Harrie Smolders, Eurocommerce Toulouse, and Kalaska de Semilly.
Dam Grand Rose ABF (Rio Grande x Lord Incipit) is bred for the jumper ring and with exceptional scope and carefulness, she would be sure to excel. However, with her perfect jumping technique and gorgeous movement she has won several championships in the hunter ring. Dam sire, Rio Grande, comes from a long line of international showjumpers such as Raphael and Ramiro; Rio Grande himself competed at the top of the sport. Rio Grande qualified for the 1996 Olympics but the rider was unable to attend. Dam’s dam Viva la Rose comes from a long line of international horses and she herself was a winning open speed mare at the top level.
