Assistant Barn Manager

SCAD seeks an assistant barn manager to supervise and coordinate the care and well-being of horses at the 100-acre Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center.

In this role, you will maintain and care for horses during and after business hours. You will supervise the activities of grooms and stall cleaners in providing day-to-day horse care, including grooming, feeding, turnout and tack cleaning.

Additionally, you will prepare horses for exercise and competitions, maintain the general health of the horses and treat minor injuries, as well as assist with various farm duties.

The ideal candidate has experience with and a sound understanding of equine care. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements:
—Bachelor’s degree in equine science or related field
—Experience driving a horse trailer preferred
—Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desired
