Poldy The Pony Triumphs Again At U.S. Dressage Festival Of Champions

Gladstone, N.J.—June 15  

Standing center ring aboard Poldy 10 decked out in tricolor ribbons and a championship cooler at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions, Katrina Sadis has certainly come far in the past year.

“Last year I was riding first level, and I was having trouble moving up,” Sadis explained. “I had an Appendix Quarter Horse who didn’t know the upper level movements, and neither did I, and we were just kind of struggling.”

Juniors, Young Riders And Brentina Cup Wrap Up At The U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions

Gladstone, N.J.—June 14

The future of dressage was on display as the junior, young rider and Brentina Cup divisions all came to a close at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions.

Anna Buffini, 20, and her 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Sundayboy emerged as champions of the AGCO/USEF Young Rider division, adding a win in today’s Individual test to her blue ribbon from the Team test to take the tricolor.

Peters Repeats But New Star Emerges At U.S. Dressage Festival Of Champions

Gladstone, N.J.—June 14

When Steffen Peters got on the plane from his home base in San Diego and headed to New Jersey for the U.S. Dressage Festival Of Champions, he knew he’d have tough competition in The Dutta Corp/USEF Grand Prix Dressage National Championship and Selection Trial for the U.S. Dressage Team Short List for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

All three of his 2012 Olympic teammates were nipping at his heels—Jan Ebeling, Tina Konyot and Adrienne Lyle—but he didn’t count on 26-year-old Laura Graves entering the mix.

Young Riders, Juniors And Ponies Take Over At U.S. Dressage Festival Of Champions

The young riders began the day in the AGCO/USEF Young Rider Dressage National Championship in the pouring rain at 8 a.m. at the U.S. Dressage Festival Of Champions.
