James Fairclough of Newton, N.J., and Chester Weber of Ocala, Fla., will represent the United States with their four-in-hand teams at the CAIO held during the CHIO Aachen in Germany, June 25-30.

Weber will drive Jane Clark's team while Fairclough will drive a team leased from Dutch driver Koos de Ronde.

Prominent European federations are pressuring the Fédération Equestre Internationale to “clean up” endurance riding in the Middle East, citing the high incidence of doping and equine fractures in the area.

The United States Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce that para-equestrian dressage athletes will now be recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to be eligible for the Veteran Monthly Assistance Allowance Program.

Warmbloods have come to dominate at the elite levels of horse sport over the past decades, but off-the-track Thoroughbreds have enjoyed a renaissance of popularity in recent years, thanks in no small part to awareness-raising organizations dedicated to their aftercare like the Retired Racehorse Challenge, CANTER and New Vocations, to name just a few.

Several sterling silver trophies for the Virginia Fall Races, held annually at Glenwood Park in Middleburg, were stolen from the home where they had been stored.

Gary Baker, chairman of the Virginia Fall Races, first noticed the trophies were missing on the evening of March 15 after returning home from the Virginia Steeplechase Association annual banquet.
