Pink saddlepads. Pink manes. Feathered pink boa breastplates. If you happen by Great Meadow in The Plains, Va., on Sept. 21, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with a parade of horses and riders decked out in all pink everything, fighting the battle against breast cancer and enjoying a day of trail riding.

There were a lot of famous four-legged creatures at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, but surprisingly one of those quadraped stars was canine, not equine.

Shawn Flarida added a fifth gold medal to his collection at last night’s individual reining final at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, leading a U.S. sweep of the medal podium.
The British rider continues his domination on the world stage, but it didn't come easy this year. The U.S. riders held their own with solid performances.
It's their fourth time on top the podium at a World Games.
