To say you have a philosophy for horse showing is one thing, but to live by that philosophy is quite another. Nick Haness put a twist on the old adage “go big or go home” and snagged the WCHR Handy Hunter Challenge at the Capital Challenge Horse Show (Md.) for the second year in a row.
Liza Boyd’s had to endure a lot of teasing lately. It started in Kentucky, after she won the USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship. That’s when Peter Pletcher started in on her, telling her it was time to have a second baby.
“I just can’t believe it; I dream of this,” said Laura Wasserman through tears and tricolors as she exited the award ceremony for the WCHR Amateur-Owner Challenge today hugging her horse’s neck.
Greg Crolick had to endure some good-natured joking from fellow riders all week at the Capital Challenge Horse Show as he prepared to ride Grey Street in the WCHR Developing Pro Challenge.
