Zone 2 Offers George Morris Clinic Grant

A $1,000 grant to ride in the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center’s George Morris Clinic is up for grabs for Zone 2 riders. The clinic takes place on Nov. 11-13, 2011, and applications must be in by Oct. 31.

The George Morris clinic has been run by the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center in Buffalo, N.Y., for more than 25 years. The grant is designed for riders who would normally be unable to afford the travel and participation fees associated with the clinic.

“[The clinic] is amazing for teachers, parents and riders,” said Susie Schoellkopf, executive director of Buffalo Therapeutic Riding. “There’s not anything else like it out there.”

In addition to learning from George Morris, riders and auditors will also get the chance to see Jen Alfano in action; she’ll be riding in the clinic as well.
