NBC has struck a plan with YouTube to live stream the 2012 Olympic Games in London, including the equestrian events.

The agreement hasn’t been officially announced yet, but according to Sports Business Journal, viewers will be able to not only watch all the sports, but also recaps and athlete interviews.

With YouTube providing the video service, NBC avoids developing a much larger video platform to stream 17 days of events. NBC also hopes to reel in the younger crowd that frequents YouTube’s social platform.

YouTube will reportedly promote the Olympic coverage on their homepage, which will then send viewers to NBCOlympics.com.
